The announcement of a new industry moving to Union City that will create over 500 new jobs was welcome news for not only the citizens of Obion County, but also those in neighboring counties on the unemployment roles.
Governor Bill Haslam made the announcement Monday morning, October 21, at a speculative building located in Union City’s Industrial Park.
According to Haslam, 9-to-5 Seating, an ergonomic office seat manufacturing company, will move its operations to Union City and bring 510 new jobs to Obion County over the next five years. The company will invest over $39 million at the location.
